Loving Teachers Focus On Positive Interactions

Loving Teachers Focus On Positive Interactions

Passionate teachers use positive interactions to provide a nurturing environment and encourage strong social-emotional skills like empathy, respect, and understanding. Gentle words, actions, and gestures help your child feel secure and supported in their skills, abilities, and relationships.

One-On-One Interactions With Low Student Ratios

Teacher-to-child ratios that meet and, when possible, exceed state requirements allow teachers to have more one-on-one interactions with your kiddo. With lower ratios, there’s a stronger focus on your child’s unique needs, skills, and personality to provide a more enhanced learning experience.

FAQs

Our teachers are given on-the-job training with an experienced teacher to get familiar with the children they will be caring for and the routine of our centers. They receive safety training and are taught health and sanitary practices from the Director. Each new teacher must read the child care licensing rules for Utah and complete a minimum of 20 hours training each year. All of our teachers are required to be fingerprinted and must pass a background check in order to be employed at our centers.
All of our locations are secure buildings; you have to have an access code to enter the facility. We have a computer at the front desk for parents/guardians to clock their child in and out each day. The Director or Leadership team member also manually writes down each child’s name and time as they come and go, ensuring that the number of children in care is accurate at all times. Upon enrollment parents provide a list of authorized adults that can pick up and drop off their child. We do not release a child to anyone who is not on the authorized list! We have security cameras in each classroom to watch and/or review if an accident occurs, or the care of a child is in question.
We are not currently providing infant care, all centers accept ages 18 months and older.
If your child is experiencing a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea they must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to care. If you are contacted during the day that your child is sick they are required to be picked up by an authorized adult within 30 minutes of receiving the call. If your child is prescribed antibiotics they must be on them for 24 hours before returning to care.
We do accept payments from Department of Workforce Services, but we WILL REQUIRE A CO-PAY if your payment does not cover the full tuition amount charged for the month. Other child care centers receive state subsidies for the food they serve, supplies used in their centers, toys, and playground equipment and can therefore accept only the DWS payment. As we are not receiving such subsidies from the state, our full tuition rates do apply. You will be given a notice at the beginning of each month with the amount and hours that were approved and also what, if any, copay will be due for the month.
Mother’s Helper offers an AM preschool program. It includes Circle Time, preschool curriculum and project, morning snack, and lunch. For more details and pricing, please contact the location nearest you.
We do not offer drop in or temporary care. Depending on the age of your child we offer a minimum of 2 days per week, or half-days which are 4 ½ hours or less. However, these need to be set and scheduled days that are the same from week to week. Any child under the age of 2 will be charged a full-time rate regardless of how many days they come. Please contact the location nearest you for more details if you need part-time or half-day care that is consistent from week to week.
Mother’s Helper requires children to be fully potty trained by the age of 3. This means your child is wearing underwear all day, can pull up and down their own pants, and wipe themselves with little or no help. Once enrolled we will begin training children at the age of 2 ½ and expect parent participation in training at home. If you feel your child is ready to begin potty training prior to 2 ½ let us know and we will happily help potty train while they are in our care.
We offer before and/or after school care, including drop-off and pick-up at many local elementary schools. Check out the Locations page for a list of schools we transport to.
Visit our Careers page for a list of current job openings. If you don’t see a current position or location you are interested in, please fill out our online job application and note your preference. We will contact you if your preferred location or position becomes available.

The teachers are always so on top of things—so happy, very patient, and extremely understanding of all of the children’s needs and learning. Another thing that has been so important to me is that they also understand the children’s families’ needs and keep in great communication. Love this place and staff! Thank you for all you do!

Great daycare, even in different locations. My daughter started attending Mother's Helper at the Sandy location when she was two. She loves it, always happy to go to school in the morning. Now my 4-year-old son attends Mother's Helper’s Murray location. I'm a single mom with my son, and they gave me so much support. My son loves all the teachers, from his 2-year-old class to his preschool teacher. This school is absolutely the best choice for Utah preschool and daycare.

I heard about Mother's Helper from my neighbor and knew her kids absolutely loved the center. I chose to send my youngest son, and he could not be happier. Every day he is so excited to see his teachers and classmates and rarely wants to leave. His teacher always has a fun craft for the kids to do and has even helped us with potty training! I adore the staff and all of the wonderful service they provide, and continue to recommend this location to many friends and family.

My daughter loves it here so much that the few times I have come to get her early, she sends me away. It’s a good sign when your children don't want to leave. I appreciate all the teachers in this establishment; they are all great! It gives me so much peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of. They do a fantastic job assisting her with her inhaler intake and allowing her to express herself by doing art and being creative.

My 4 year old daughter had extreme struggles at other facilities. I made the switch to Mothers helper and it's been a complete 180. The teachers are warm, receptive, attentive, compassionate and understanding. They've take the time to work with my daughter and she is now excelling. My son runs in at drop off and can't wait to see his friends. This facility has eased all of my worries. I love the security features, cleanliness and organization of this facility. Highly recommended.

My daughter has attended this daycare for a few months now. She always excitedly points out her school and tells me what she’s going to tell her teacher about that day. She’s built good relationships with her teachers. She learns SO much and her art skills astound me these days. I genuinely feel that the staff here work so hard to make sure all of the children feel loved and valued. This is a safe place to leave your child ❤️

We have been taking our boys here for a year and a half, and we love it! We initially picked Mothers Helper because it was really clean, and they had a healthy meal plan and schedule for the kids. My boys enjoy being there, and are always very well taken care of. It is nice having a place to take my kids that I can trust while I am at work. It is hard picking a place to take your kids where they will be spending a good portion of their days, I would recommend Mothers Helper to everyone!
